FEDCO Grant
Competitive grants from the California Community Foundation help improve the lives of countless residents throughout Los Angeles County – and, in the process, they help strengthen the entire nonprofit sector in the region. This makes CCF more than a typical funder: we partner with nonprofit organizations to maximize their impact by offering long-term funding opportunities, core operating support and resources that go way beyond just writing a check. National Board Certification Grant
The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) received a grant from the United States Department of Education to provide partial financial support through the Candidate Subsidy Program for individuals interested in seeking National Board Certification. Funding will be used to provide as many $1,250 federal subsidy grants as possible. Grants are contingent upon available funding. See details at http://www.nbpts.org/
Books Across America Grants
The NEA Foundation supports public school libraries serving economically disadvantaged through periodic donations of books, grants and facility improvements. The NEA Foundation provides this support in collaboration with the National Education Association and the Pearson Charitable Foundation. Support is awarded through an application process that is open to all public school educators who meet the eligibility requirements. Student Achievement Grants
The NEA Foundation provides grants to improve the academic achievement of students in U.S. public schools and public higher education institutions in any subject area(s). The proposed work should engage students in critical thinking and problem solving that deepen their knowledge of standards-based subject matter. The work should also improve students’ habits of inquiry, self-directed learning, and critical reflection. Teacher Innovation Grants
Teacher Innovation Grants empower teachers with opportunities to inspire their students to succeed in school. Each year, teachers with grants are able to create memorable, interactive and enhanced learning experiences -- experiences that would not exist without the additional funding. The Innovation Grants provide teachers with opportunities to better connect with their students in new and innovative ways, enabling higher levels of learning in the classroom and on field trips. Grants to Educators
At the NEA Foundation, we support new ideas and practices to strengthen teaching and learning. Our goal is to fund and share successful strategies to educate and prepare students for bright and rewarding futures.
We have learned that the best teaching methods come from our greatest assets: educators. That is why we have awarded more than $8 million to fund 2,500 grants to public school educators to enhance teaching and learning. See details at http://www.neafoundation.org/pages/educators/grant-programs/
